1. INSPIRATION.

Inspiration is critical to staying motivated and improving oneself. If you are not interested in your business, your motivation level will never be high and you will not be able to sustain interest for very long.

Take an honest look at your inspiration level. Are you excited about going to work or is it an obligation? You would be surprised at the number of people who choose a business that looks good on paper, but in reality does not interest them in the least.

These individuals will grow weary and uninterested pretty quickly because they have no inspiration or passion to sustain them during the difficult times they will encounter as a small business owner.

If you do not like your work, then think how you can re-focus your small business to better match your needs. Or consider making a change entirely. Without inspiration, there will not be motivated to even try self improvement.

2. SETTING GOALS.

Short and long-term goal setting is vital for any business owner. If you do not set goals, you would have no definite purpose on which path of self improvement to take.

How could you possibly be motivated if you were unsure about the direction of your company?

Take the time to put your goals in writing. A business plan may sound daunting, but it is really nothing more than goals, strategies, implementation and a budget. Write your own business plan and update it at least annually.

Include “mini-goals” that can be accomplished in a matter of hours, days or weeks as well as the more ambitious “grand-goals” that may take years to complete. Refer to this plan throughout the year.

But can a business plan really help motivate you? Of course. Written goals will make you feel more professional and certainly more connected to your business. It will also free you from having to reinvent your business goals every single day.

3. NETWORKING.

Another key factor in getting and staying motivated is networking with other small business owners. No one person knows all the knowledge.

However, when a number of people begin working together, the challenges will just be there waiting to be conquered.

In fact, the isolation of working alone is of one the most difficult parts of being an entrepreneur. You can never be on your way to self improvement without the help of others. Mutual support is motivating.
Make it easier on yourself by connecting with others either in your community or online. Even when businesses are not related, you will often find common ground and ways to work together.

Many successful entrepreneurs report that finding the right networking group was a turning point in the growth of the business. Working together, a networking group can help its members generate more qualified sales leads and solve problems faster and more efficiently.

1) As soon as the fish lands avoid any contact with hard surfaces to prevent bruising. It should be washed immediately by hosing or bucket rinsing in order to remove the slime and possible bacteria that cause spoilage. Never use water from close proximity marinas, municipal or industrial discharges. To make sure, always use potable water instead.

2) Simply chill the fish to prevent deterioration in less than an hour. With a little advance planning, proper icing can be accomplished with the use of some relatively cheap equipment. Fish should be stored in coolers and should be well chilled. It should be 3″ deep, thus, covering a pound of fish with pound of ice. Use chlorinated water per quart of water for the final rinsing.

3) Clean the fish as soon as possible. Their tissues are sterile but not their scales, which contains many types of bacteria. When cleaning fish, avoid rough treatment because wounds in the flesh can allow the spread of bacteria. Gutting the fish does not have to be necessarily long. It is wise to cut the belly, as it leaves no blood or viscera in the body. Make sure not to soak cleaned fish fillets in a prolonged freshwater as this could reduce the meat texture and flavor.

4) The eating quality and nutritional value of fish can be maintained up to 5 days if properly cleaned. Washing of the hands before touching the fish is also important. No matter what fish and the cooking technique used, one golden rule is to be followed always. Whether it is whole or not, cook exactly 10 minutes for every inch measured. 15 minutes should be allotted to fish enclosed in foil or sauce baked. Double the time for frozen fish.

Allow extra time if fish will be baked while packed in an aluminum foil and allow extra time for the penetration of the heat. That should be an additional 5 minutes for fresh fish and 10 for frozen. In thawing frozen fish, slowly thaw in the fridge for 24 hours or let the wrapped fish be run under cold water not at room temperature. Do not thaw a fish that’s frozen before cooking as it may make it mushy and dry.

Drawing In Wildlife With Feeders

Are you an animal lover? If you’re anything like me, then you enjoy spotting random wildlife strolling through your yard. Whether it be squirrels, chipmunks, deer, rabbits, or just simple birds, it’s a blast watching them in their element. And yes your yard is their element. Well, at least to them it is. It’s not like they can tell the difference half of the time. They tend to go where the food is. So why not draw them in with wildlife feeders? This way you can help them by offering food, and you’ll get to watch them in the process. I do this with my daughter and we have fun spying with our binoculars.

Birds are the common lingerers. I don’t care where you reside; chances are you see a few birds at the least around your place. Maybe they’re scouring for food, or possibly just taking a rest. Either way it’s entertaining to watch them interact with the world. I hang several bird feeders outside of my home in order to draw a variety of birds in. These are the most common wildlife feeders on the market today. I suppose it’s safe to say people enjoy bird watching. You may already have a birdhouse, feeder or bath in your yard right now. You certainly wouldn’t be the only one. A substantial portion of America indulges in this timeless ritual. My mother even did it back in the 1940s. But what about all the other wild animals? I prefer to watch deer. However, at your slightest movement, they’ll usually bolt. This is why I place wildlife feeders toward the back of my yard. The deer slip in to feed and we watch them from the patio. I always tell my daughter, the key is being silent.

There are easy ways to draw in wildlife. Let’s say you’re itching to get some colorful birds in your front yard. All it takes to achieve this is a sack of birdseed. Sprinkle it all over the front yard and watch as the birds show up early the following morning. This seems to be the time they prefer to feed around my home. Or, you can toss some carrot chunks around the back patio. This is what my sever-year-old does to lure in the bunnies, and it always works. The truth is you don’t even have to purchase wildlife feeders to bring in the animals.
