This morning my two dogs and I took a stroll around my property. It was early and the sunrise was just gorgeous. I paused for a few minutes to enjoy the beauty that nature had provided for this day.

It had rained the night before and I noticed that the pond was beginning to build up some water for the ducks and wild geese that would visit in the spring.

As I got closer to the house I saw that the birds were already up and going about getting their breakfast from the bird feeders that were hung under a beautiful cedar tree with all its branches which provided them a nice perch to sit and check out everything before going to the feeders.

I put out peanuts on the ground in the same area for the squirrels, but they must have been sleeping in, because I didn’t see any of them scurrying about.

I have several nature mugs in my cabinet and since the morning sunrise had been so beautiful this morning, I searched out my mug with the sunrise image from which to drink my coffee and relax at my desk as I began my daily work.
